Timor Leste

Hey everyone

Today is going to be a bit of a different kind of post. I have been wanting to do a post like this for a while now and have recently come back from a trip to Timor Leste so I thought it would be the perfect time. I would like to share my recent thoughts and would love for you to comment at the end of the post your thoughts as well, as I feel it will be really interesting to hear from you all.

So it all began when I was listening to a talk by Sam Clear, he spoke about his experiences walking around parts of the world for unity. His presentation really opened my eyes as we know that there is hurt and trouble in the world that goes on everyday, but we don’t always see what is being done to stop it. It made me realise that we actually need to do something about it, even if it begins with our own communities. Just by being nicer or helping someone out you are making the world a tiny bit better. I really hope that one day there will be no more wars and I believe that if we all hope for the same thing that one day it will become a reality. I would also recommend if you somehow ever get the opportunity to attend a presentation by Sam Clear go as I found it really inspirational.

Then only recently I came back from a trip to Timor Leste. Whilst I was over there I learnt how easily we can all get caught up in our day to day lives and forget how lucky we are. The Timorese are recovering from many years of devastation rebuilding schools, houses and other infrastructures. I realised how much I have and how fortunate I am to have a life like my own. I live in a country where there is no wars and there has never been a devastating disaster that has ever directly effected my life but these people have.

I realised how lucky I am to have the house that I do and the resources around me. I have a bedroom with a bed, a wardrobe full of clothes, a heater, a fan. I have a kitchen, living room, dining room. I have clean running water that comes from a tap when I turn it on. I have realised that I should appreciate how easy my life is compared to others.

Whilst I was over there I met a girl who said when she was at school she would have to travel 7km in 1 hour so she basically had to run to school. I realised how much I take going to school and getting an education for granted. Not everyone in the world has the same opportunities to get an education as I do yet many children complain about going to school and others who do not have the opportunity’s only wish is to get an education. I visited an orphanage which is where the photo above is form. The girls there, are there because their parents died or are too poor to take care of them. It was devastating to see that parents are so poor that they are unable to provide and care for their own children.

I think the main message that I can take from the trip is that I can make a difference in the world and should appreciate what I have. The trip has made me realise how waste full I am and how much stuff I have, even though I do love going shopping and buying new things. Next time I go shopping I will think twice whether I actually need it and use recyclable bags. I have realised how much waste I make, plastic bags, wrappers, packaging and how it impacts the world, seeing plastic washes up onto their beaches and impact others environments. On the trip I also did not use my phone or any technology for 11 days and it felt amazing, we have the need to always be connected and know what is going on in other peoples lives, but it felt so good to not worry about what other people were doing and to be living in the present.

I have realised the importance of helping others because if we all shared the love and resources around we have the power to change the world.

If we are not the ones who change the world then who will?

Thank you so much for reading. If you read all of it good job, I feel like I rambled on and it has become a massive post. I have also been watching a few documentaries lately and if you are interested I would recommend watching  Minimalism which is on Netflix.

Also if you ever get the opportunity like I have or are thinking about going on a charitable or life changing experience I would highly recommend it as it truly was an amazing experience that I will never forget.

Thanks again xxx

Current Purchases Haul

Hi Everyone

Hope you have had a great day, today I am sharing with you some of the recent purchases I have made that I have been loving over autumn so far.

I absolutely love autumn because it is the perfect weather to chuck on a pair of boots and jeans but it is the right weather to wear a t-shirt  with a coat.

First up is this coat from Kmart Aus for only $35. It has a lovely fur hood that is filed with white fluff. I love that this jacket has a smooth inside so when it starts getting colder I could wear knits underneath.

Next is these Glamorous Petite Patchwork Distressed Boyfriend Jeans from ASOS. I absolutely love the deign of them with the darker denim and the light denim with the rips. I also love the distressed look and I feel they go really well with a cropped tee.  My only advise would be to order a couple sizes larger if you are not a petite person as they are quite small.

And last but not least my favourite item by far has got to be these Timberland boots that I purchased from Platypus. I am absolutely in love with them and wear them every opportunity I get. To protect them for getting dirty I have also sprayed them with Crep Protect. I don’t really know if it does anything but it is better to be safe then sorry.

I hope you have all enjoyed this post and let me know what are some of you autumn staples or current purchase are, I would love to know.

Hope you enjoyed

Lush and Tarte Haul

Hi everyone

Hope you are all well, I am so excited to share with you these purchases that I have recently made.

So this is them, the Tartelette In Bloom Clay Palette by Tarte and the Intergalactic and the Guardian Of The Forest bath bombs from Lush.

These bath bombs are absolutely amazing. I personally don’t think that they smell the best but they look amazing when you put them in the bath. The Intergalactic bath bomb left my bath a deep dark blue colour and left an amazing trail of gold glitter in the bath once I was done. Ever since I have become obsessed with Lush these two products are ones that I knew I would try one day.

This Tartelette In Bloom Clay Palette by Tarte is another item that I have had my eyes on for a while. It is so pretty and I love that I will use all the colours in the palette as they are all nude colours. I also love the mixture of matte and shimmer colours. They are also very pigmented.

I hope you all have enjoyed and if you know of any products that you think I would love, comment them below. I would also like to know if you guys know of any good Lush Shower product that I would like.

Hope you all have a lovely week,

Thanks for reading ♥♥♥

ASOS and Current Favourites Haul

Hey everyone

Hope you are all well, it feels like I haven’t done one of these kinds of posts for  a while, hope you enjoy. I decided that I wanted to get some new earrings so I went to asos and ended up pickup a few pieces.

I picked up this top by boohoo that has this beautiful lace feature. I am going to be honest, I only bought it so i would have to pay for shipping, but when I got it I fell in love (probably my favourite item that I ordered). I ordered size 8 and it fits really well and I can’t wait to wear it.

Next are these items that I have just picked up from a few shops. Firstly the Burts Bees Rejuvenating Lip Balm with Açaí Berry  it absolutely amazing and I am so glad that I found it, if you haven’t tried it out yet I would highly recommend it. The Toni&Guy Dry shampoo  is also another one of my favourites, it doesn’t leave my hair feeling grotty or dirty and does a great job at making it not oily. Finally it the Schwarzkopf Extra Care 6 Miracles Oil Essence which is a new purchase but from the few times I have used it I have loved it, I feel that it makes my hair look less frizzy, it makes my hair look silky and smooth.

These ASOS Jewel Swing Ear Cuff, I love these earrings, I feel that they look so pretty and I can also mix up what earrings and wear with the chain or with the drop down earring part. The pearl earrings are also nice but they are really massive and I don’t think I will ever wear the  drop down earring part because it is really heavy and looks silly, but I will just wear the actually earring. Finally is the Sleek highlighting palette  which is amazing, I love the colours and that there is cream colours and powder colours.

Hope you have enjoyed and if you try out or have any of these products I would love to know what you think of them, Also if you have any products that you think I would love, please feel free to comment down below.

Hope you have a great week

Hi Everyone

Hope you are all well, today I am sharing my favourite colouring books as you may have noticed by now. Also I have just joined bloglovin and twitter so you can fine me there at bloglovin  @awhiterabbitblog and twitter @awhiterabbitblg I would really appreciate that, now lets get on with this blog post.

oG3mU.jpeg9Q79Q.jpegFirst of all I would like to mention that these colouring in books are the most beautiful books I have ever laid my eyes on. All of the images are so beautiful and some pages have blank gaps allowing you to personalise your colouring and let your creativity flow. I also love that some pages have small statements which can help to colour in your page.

This is one of my colourings I have done, I love that you are able to either colour inside the lines small fine lines or in chunks like I have done here to create an ombre look.DSCF5913.JPGDSCF5890.JPGThese colouring in books are by Millie Marotta and they are the Animal Kingdom and Tropical Wonderland. They both have amazing illustrations that I enjoy colouring in using pencils and a gold gel pen whilst listening to music. Because the images have so much detail to them I do struggle to finnish colouring them in and some times I end up feeling sick (I think its because I concentrate too hard haha), but I believe it is worth it once you finnish and get to look at an amazing piece of art. The only Flaw to these colouring in books is that you cannot use texts or fine liners because they images are printed double sided and the paper is not thick enough so it goes through the pages which is so annoying but I think it looks nice in pencil anyway, but if you did want to spend some extra money you can also purchase the deluxe edition which has a hard cover, thicker paper and is not printed double sided, unfortunately I did not know about until I had already purchase them : ( . I think that they make for a really great present either to someone who has lots of patients and into art or some one who has lots of spare time.

I hope you have enjoyed this post, comment down below what you thought and if you have any ideas for future posts that you would like.

Egg White Face Mask

Hi Everyone

Today I am sharing with you this egg white face mask that I absolutely love, it leaves my skin feeling super soft and I love that it is natural and has no chemicals that could damage my skin, also it is super easy. Hope you enjoy xx

Firstly you will need one egg.

Then crack it into a small bowl keeping the yolk separate from them egg white. You can then throw away the egg yolk or you could use it in a recipe or cook it up.

I then use my fingers to apply the face mask to my face, but you could use a makeup brush. Apply a thin layer to your face and don’t put to much on other wise it may run down your neck.

Let dry for around 10 – 20  minutes, until it is dry and set. Then using a warm face cloth wipe the face mask off and your skin should be left feeling as soft as a babies bum. Then I usually apply my normal moisturiser. I would use this face mask 1 – 2 times a week but lets be honest I don’t remember to use it that much.

Heres the printable  february-calendar, ( I can’t believe its already February, the month has flown by) I think this is my favourite design out of all the months. Also I have recently joined bloglovin’ so  you now can Follow my blog with Bloglovin, I would really appreciate that.

Hope you enjoyed this post and have a lovely week ♥♥

Beauty Haul

Hi Lovelies

Here are a few products that I have recently bought. I ordered some products from Feelunique after christmas for the first time as I wanted to try it out, and I am super happy with their service. My delivery came within 1o days and in those ten days was a few public holidays so I was expecting it to come late but it came before the expected delivery date so I am so satisfied with it. I can’t wait to order more products through them, Hope you enjoy xx

The products from feelunique came in this super cute box, which I think just look aesthetically pleasing. Also the way that it was packaged was very secure and I would think that it would be safe to order a powdered product without it breaking.

The first product I am going to talk about from Feelunique is Zoellas Body Fondant Shimmer Balm. I absolutely love the packaging and it smells amazing (I thought everyone just said that, but it actually does smell so good).

Using the sponge thing to apply it to your body it looks so shimmery, it does not make you looked tanned at all which I was a bit disappointed with but it does make your skin look healthy and glowing. I would recommend trying it out if you were interested in buying it.

Next from Feeluniqe I ordered this Pure Clay Detox Face Mask by Loreal as I was thinking it will be fun to use with my friends at a sleepover or something.

Their is a fair bit of product in the jar which was more than I expected but to be honest I am a bit disappointed with it as I feel that it didn’t do anything to my skin. It may have made it a bit smother but I didn’t notice a big difference.

Next from Myer I got this Mac Studio Fix Foundation in the colour N15 as I have wanted to try one of theirs out for a while to see if it was really better then a drugstore foundation. I found that it was quite a full coverage but did leave my face powdery and didn’t live up to my expectations (I will still use it as it was expensive but I probably won’t by another one).

Finally is this moisturiser by Nivea as I wanted a new moisturiser that made my face really moisturised so I could use it with the foundation.

I found that it didn’t really moisture my face as much as I wanted. But will use it just as a daily moisturiser/sunscreen as it has spf30+ and will protect my face from the sun.

If their was any products you could recommend or if you have used any of these and thought differently comment down below, I would love to see your thoughts. Hope you have a lovely week.
