Cake pop Balls

Hey everyone

Hope you are all having a good week. Todays blog post as you can probably tell by the title is cake pop balls. I have decided to make cake pop balls as I find it a bit hard sometimes to make them stay on the sticks, but if you wanted to you always could just pop them onto one.

What you will need:

  • 1 Cooked cake / cake trimmings
  • Chocolate to melt
  • cream cheese
  • Decorations – Sprinkles

Firstly what you will need to do is, with your cake (you could make one, packet mix or buy one) is you will need to break it up into small crumbs. Then add in the cream cheese, just enough so that the mixture comes together and can be rolled into balls. Then place the rolled balls into the refrigerator so that they can go a little firm.

Then either over a double boiler or in the microwave slowly melt your choice of chocolate. If you decide to do it in the microwave ensure that you only place it in there for roughly 30 sec with a power 70% to make sure that the chocolate doesn’t burn. Then using a spoon roll the balls in the melted chocolate  until they are fully coated.

Then is the fun part, decorate them before the chocolate begins to set with your favourite sprinkles or lollies.

I hope that you have enjoyed this quick and easy post and if you have any ideas or anything you would like me to blog about please let me know.

DIY Birthday Cards

Hey everyone

Hope you are all doing well. We all have been in that situation when you are frantically trying to find a birthday card before heading off to a party, so today I have for you some simple and cute birthday cards that you can quickly whip up before heading out.

IMG_1245.JPGIMG_1224.JPGWhat you will need:

  • Paper/card
  • Washi tape
  • Fine liner/pen
  • Stencil
  • envelope

Firstly to make this candle card you will need to cut pieces of washi tape and stick them onto the paper, I cut some on an angle to give then a dripping wax kind of look. Then using a fine liner I marked on the candle wick.

Then using a stencil I wrote Happy birthday, obviously you could also handwrite this, but I liked the printed font look, that the stencil gave.

You can get as creative or as simple as you want. Just cut the washi tape and stick it horizontally to create a birthday cake.

You could also cut triangles and create a bunting, its really up to how creative and how much time you have to create a masterpiece that your friends will love.

Then its time to write a personalised message inside and pop it in an envelop. I hope that this post has inspired you to get creative and make up some birthday cards that are super cute and your friends would love to receive.
