Boxing day and Christmas Haul

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and got spoilt, I thought I would share with you a few gifts that I was given for christmas and purchased at the boxing day sales.

DSCF5083.JPG

First is this towel by Waverly with a pineapple which I just love the colours of. Its a circle fowl with a diameter of 1.5 meters. I can’t wait to take it down to the beach. Also the small pink ball is the Razzle Berry  bath bomb by Bomb Cosmetics  which has a lovely golden bow and smells of strawberries.

DSCF5087.JPG

Next I have these meringues by Little Miss Meringue, which look super cute. I think they would look so nice on a tall iced cake or even on a nice dish just to serve.

DSCF5103.JPG

These chocolates by lovingearth are also really nice, they are Gluten Free, Fair Trade, Dairy Free and Vegan. They are basically chocolate flavoured Cranberries and I think the packaging looks so cute.

DSCF5117.JPG

Next is this Peter Alexander pyjama top that I purchased from the boxing day sale at 50% which was a great deal. I have had my eyes on some of the super cute pyjamas at Peter Alexander and when I saw this deal I couldn’t hold myself back.

DSCF5121.JPG

Finally is this Beyonce Heat Rush perfume which smells nice and the bottle looks so unique.

Also heres the brand new design for the 2017 calendars. I have designed these water colour images for next years calendars which I can’t wait for you to see and use. The calendar is suited for the Australian seasons which is summer in January and Winter in July. If anyone would like I can make two separate sets of calendars so it suits people who have the seasons the other way around ( please let me know in the comments). Hope you enjoy, heres january-2017.

Thanks for reading and hope you all have a happy new year xx

Christmas Drink

Hi Everybody

Hope you are all well, today I am doing a hot chocolate post just in time for a christmas eve drink or any other day. Hope you enjoy

DSCF3750.JPG

Also to accompany this hot chocolate drink I have made this super cute chocolate ginger bread house which you can find the recipe to here.

DSCF3714.JPG

What you will need:

  • Milk
  • Maple Syrup
  • Candy Cane
  • White Chocolate

DSCF3721.JPG

First what you will need to do is in a saucepan put in about 1 tablespoon of maple syrup and about half a large candy cane. Melt this over your stove until the candy cane melts and dissolves into the maple syrup. (I was going to do this over a double boiler until  this glass bowl cracked through the middle so I just transferred it into the saucepan)

DSCF3725.JPG

Then add in your white chocolate and then your milk and stir over the heat until combined.

DSCF3730.JPG

Now your done. If your candy cane didn’t completely dissolve you can also pour it through a strainer into your glass.

Hope you have all enjoyed and have a lovely Christmas.

Christmas Gift Ideas

Hi Everybody

Hope you are all well. Today I am doing a Christmas Gift guide kind of thing (thinks that I have bought recently that would be good for presents). Also I am so excited for Christmas (yayay) only 8 more sleeps which means all christmas shopping time is running out. So here are some ideas if you are a bit stuck.

DSCF3513.JPG

DSCF3537.JPG

First I have this Golden Wonder Bath Bomb from Lush. It smells of lime and sweet orange oils and is absolutely amazing,  I can’t wait to put it into the bath.

DSCF3541.JPG

Next I have the Shoot For The Stars Bath Bomb from Lush which  contains Brazilian orange and bergamot oils that takes your skin to heaven.

DSCF3545.JPG

I could not resist buying it because of that gold glitter.

DSCF3568.JPG

These amazing nail stickers by Jamberry would make an amazing present for that person who loves to paint their nails but is just to impatient to wait for them to dry (me). These are basically nail sticker but you need to use a hairdryer to make them stick onto your nails. DSCF3656.JPG

I have never used nail sticker as I thought they would fall of straight away and just get annoying but when I found these Jamberry Nail Wraps I thought I just had to try them. If you would like to go check them out to see how they work click here. They have some super cute designs and last forever. The ones I have on are from last year I think but they have some really pretty christmas ones this year too. I have purchased mine from ebay but you can also order online from the Jamberry Website also.

DSCF3571.JPG

How can you go wrong with giving some one chocolate for christmas, especially a mini lindt teddy bear, they are super cute and taste amazing.

DSCF3589.JPG

Last but not least is this Tahaa GlassHouse fragrance Candle. It is a bit more on the pricey side but I think it would be a great present for a candle lover or a sweet tooth as it smells of Vanilla Caramel.

DSCF3578.JPG

It has a very strong scent and I can’t wait to light it.

DSCF3527.JPG

I hope that you have all loved this post and has helped give you some gift ideas. Also if you are not already you can follow my blog to recieve email notifications each time a new blog post goes up.

Hope you all have a lovely day and are as excited for christmas as I am

Festive Sugar Scrub

Hi Everyone

Today I will be sharing with you how to make this festive sugar scrub, it is super easy and makes a great christmas present that you could give to family and friends.

DSCF3278.JPG

What you will need:

  • 1 Jar
  • about 1 cup of brown sugar (or as much that fits into your jar)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Chinese 5 spice
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil / coconut oil
  • Ribbon

DSCF3229.JPG

Firstly place your sugar into a bowl, or to make less mess you could put the sugar into your jar, it may just be a bit harder to mix.

DSCF3235.JPG

Then add in your 1 tablespoon cinnamon and 1 tablespoon Chinese five spice and stir well.

DSCF3241.JPG

Now add in your 1 tablespoon vanilla essence and stir in.

DSCF3253.JPG

Next add in 3 tablespoons of your olive oil or coconut oil.

DSCF3257.JPG

Then stir it in, if the mixture is not sticking together enough you can add some more olive oil or coconut oil until it is at the consistency you like.

DSCF3267.JPG

Now you can decorate your jar how you like.

DSCF3269.JPG

I went with a nice Christmas ribbon. Now its ready for you to give as a present or you could use it yourself. To use all you need to do is grab a small portion with your had and in the shower or bath gently message it into your skin. Then wash it off with the water and it will leave your skin feeling soft and smooth as it exfoliates the surface of your skin.

I hope you have enjoyed this post.

Chocolate Ginger Bread Men

Hi everyone

To get into the Christmas spirit I have decided to make some chocolate ginger bread men as a collaboration with Simplly Me  I would really appreciate it if you checked out her blog by clicking this link. I absolutely love this recipe as it has a twist to traditional ginger bread, it also tastes soon good. It makes roughly 34 ginger bread men, hope you enjoy.

PB260006.JPG

What you will need:

Chocolate ginger bread

  • 125g Butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup golden syrup
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 ¼ cup  plain flower
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ tablespoon ground ginger
  • ½ tablespoon ground cinnamon

Royal Icing

  • 1 cup pure icing sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 egg white

PB260009.JPG

Firstly place your 125g Butter, ½ cup brown sugar and ½ cup golden syrup into a bowl.

PB260010.JPG

Using an electric mixer combine and then add in your egg yolk.

PB260014.JPG

Next add in your 2 ¼ cup  plain flower, ¼ cup cocoa powder, ½ tablespoon ground ginger, ½ tablespoon ground cinnamon.

PB260018.JPG

Stir and kneed to combine, then place your dough into the fridge for at least 20 min (this is to help it stick together other wise when you role it out it will fall apart). Whilst you are waiting for your dough you can set your oven to 180ºc.

PB260019.JPG

Get your mixture out of the fridge and then I split it into 3 parts so that it was easer to roll out.

PB260023.JPG

PB260028.JPG

Now is the fun part, get any cookie cutters you want and cut them out of the dough.

PB260033.JPG

A tip to get the cookies of your bench is to use a spatula as I find they are less likely to break.

PB260048.JPG

Once you have cut out all your cookies they are ready to go into the oven. My ginger bread took about 10 minutes as they were fairly thin but if you see the edges start to brown they will be ready.

PB260053.JPG

When they are done place them onto a cooling tray to cool down.

PB260060.JPG

Whilst they are cooling you can begin to make the royal icing. You will need to place your 1 cup pure icing sugar, 1 teaspoon lemon juice and 1 egg white into a clean bowl.

PB260062.JPG

Using an electric mixer, mix until it forms soft peeks.

PB260066.JPG

Then place your icing into a piping bag with a small nozzle at the end, if you don’t have a piping bag you can also uses a zip lock bag and cut a tiny hole in the corner.

PB260070.JPG

Now you can decorate your ginger bread men anyway you like.

I hope you have enjoyed this post, and I would love to see your recreations by tagging me in your photos on instagram @awhiterabbitblog.

See you next week ♥
