Dried Fruit Balls

Hey Everyone

Finally iv’e gotten time to share a recipe, I have made some dried fruit balls as I feel that they are a great healthy snack that is super easy to make. I also thought I would share this with you as I have not found a recipe anywhere that contains dried fruit and no nuts as I myself and I know many other people who cannot eat nuts.

Ingredients :

  • Sultanas
  • Dried Apple
  • Dried Apricot
  • Cranberries
  • White chocolate
  • Marie Biscuits

IMG_6128.JPG

First I gathered all of my dried fruit (Sultanas, Dried Apple, Dried Apricot and Cranberries ) and white chocolate, you can put as much or as little of each dried fruit as you want, you could also add in other dried fruit such as prunes, dried mango etc. I placed all of the dried fruit, some white chocolate and two of the Marie biscuits into my NutriBullet (I would recommend for every one cup of mixed dried fruit to put 1 biscuit so that the mixture is not too stickey) .

IMG_6136.JPG

Then once the dried fruit had combined I scrapped it out and roughly chopped up my white chocolate into smaller chunks.

IMG_6149.JPG

Then using my hands I mixed together the white chocolate and dried fruit mixture. You could also add chunks of biscuit into this.

IMG_6152.JPG

Next I placed more of the Marie biscuits into my Nutribullet until it turned into a powder texture ( I think it would have been nicer if I just crunched the biscuits so that it would have been a bit crunchy)

IMG_6154.JPG

Then I placed the crunched biscuits into a bowl and rolled out the dried fruit mixture into balls.

IMG_6172.JPG

Next I rolled all of the dried fruit balls in the crunched biscuits so they were all coated.

IMG_6177.JPG

And now there ready to eat.

You can store them in your cupboard or in your fridge. You could also change the recipe up a bit by using milk/dark chocolate and chic ripple biscuits.

I really hope you have enjoyed this post. If you recreate these I would love to see your creations by tagging me in your photo on Instagram @awhiterabbitblog.

Spring Fashion

Hi Everybody

Hope you have all been having a lovely week, today I will be sharing with you some of my spring clothing items. I did a bit of shopping recently and here it is.

P9240006.JPG

This spring I think that blue and stripes have come into fashion ( well thats what  I can see from my purchases ). I also am loving this denim jacket with the fur collar that I got from Jay Jays, (it was also a bargain $15). I have been loving wearing it with basicity anything, it goes nicely with dresses, shorts and jeans.

I have also been loving this blue striped top from cotton on. It reminds me of huts along beaches, I enjoy wearing it with jeans or with shorts and having a little bit tucked in.

This navy and white striped dress, is the perfect length for spring, its not too short that you will get cold and not to long. It also goes well with the denim jacket so you could go out for dinner and then when the night starts getting a little colder you can rug up.

lastly is this blue shirt with the palm tree and the moon is super cute with a pair of shorts and will be perfect for those hotter spring days.

Yay here is the November calendar, I thought I would bring it out early so you could print it and and begin making plans for next month November free printable calendar .

T2

Hey all

I went shopping the other day and found myself in the T2 store. So I thought I would share with you some of my purchases.

IMG_5965.JPG

This is a gift pack that I was given a while ago (there is 10 different tea’s in the pack but I have already drunken then ; | ), I think it is a great gift for other’s who are into tea or just for yourself if you want to try out some different teas.

IMG_6018.JPG

Here is the Strawberries and Cream tea, and it smells absolutely amazing. I like to have this cold but you could also have it hot.

IMG_5983.JPG

This is Turkish apple tea, I like adding this to the Strawberries and Cream tea, it acts as a sweetener and makes it taste really yummy. I think that this combination of Strawberries and Cream and Turkish apple would be great for the summer in a jug with some ice and you could even add some slices of apple, strawberries and orange.

IMG_5989.JPG

This is the Mesh Ball, as most of the T2 teas are loose leaf teas you need either a tea pot with a infuser or you can use the Mesh Ball. I personally  prefer to use the teapot as it does not let any floaties get into your tea ( as I find that the mesh ball tends to let small particles out)  but the Mesh ball is also good if you only want to make one cup.

Marble Necklace

Hi everyone

I am really excited to do this post, I made some polymer clay marble necklaces. I know that the polymer clay earrings have gone a bit out of fashion so I have thought of a great new way you can accessorise yourself using polymer clay, I think they would look great with anything. Hope you enjoy….

Here is all of the equipment you will need :

  • Polymer clay
  • Necklace chain
  • Pendant tray (25mm)
  • Oven at 100ºc
  • SuperGlue

DSCF3013.JPG

Firstly I preheated my oven to 100ºC fan forced, I use my kitchen oven and it works fine but I know some people prefer to use craft ovens. Then picked the two colours that I wanted to use to create the marbled effect. Make sure you get the right amount so that it will fit into the pendant tray nicely

DSCF3015.JPG

Then I rolled the two colours together in my hands into a ball. You can roll it for as long as you want but the longer you roll it the smaller the streaks will be, and the shorter you roll it the bolder they will be.

DSCF3027.JPG

Then I placed the ball into the pendant tray and squished it down until it was nice and flat.

Now you can place your necklace into your preheated oven which should be set at 100ºc fan forced, because the pendant tray is metal it is safe to go into the oven. Cook it in the oven for 15 minutes and then turn the oven off and let it cool in there for about 10 min. Once cooled then take out the polymer clay and use super glue to glue back into the pendant tray. Now all you need to do it put it onto a chain.

I also made some using different colours, you can be as creative as you want and use lots of colours or keep it simple and just use one , the options are up to you.

I really hope you have enjoyed this post as much as I have enjoyed creating it. If you would like more posts like this please let me know and I hope you all have a great day xx
