Finally iv’e gotten time to share a recipe, I have made some dried fruit balls as I feel that they are a great healthy snack that is super easy to make. I also thought I would share this with you as I have not found a recipe anywhere that contains dried fruit and no nuts as I myself and I know many other people who cannot eat nuts.
- Dried Apple
- Dried Apricot
- White chocolate
- Marie Biscuits
First I gathered all of my dried fruit (Sultanas, Dried Apple, Dried Apricot and Cranberries ) and white chocolate, you can put as much or as little of each dried fruit as you want, you could also add in other dried fruit such as prunes, dried mango etc. I placed all of the dried fruit, some white chocolate and two of the Marie biscuits into my NutriBullet (I would recommend for every one cup of mixed dried fruit to put 1 biscuit so that the mixture is not too stickey) .
Then once the dried fruit had combined I scrapped it out and roughly chopped up my white chocolate into smaller chunks.
Then using my hands I mixed together the white chocolate and dried fruit mixture. You could also add chunks of biscuit into this.
Next I placed more of the Marie biscuits into my Nutribullet until it turned into a powder texture ( I think it would have been nicer if I just crunched the biscuits so that it would have been a bit crunchy)
Then I placed the crunched biscuits into a bowl and rolled out the dried fruit mixture into balls.
Next I rolled all of the dried fruit balls in the crunched biscuits so they were all coated.
And now there ready to eat.
You can store them in your cupboard or in your fridge. You could also change the recipe up a bit by using milk/dark chocolate and chic ripple biscuits.
I really hope you have enjoyed this post. If you recreate these I would love to see your creations by tagging me in your photo on Instagram @awhiterabbitblog.
